A Facebook account on the social media shared<\/a> a screenshot depicting the goals of the UN Agenda 2030 and wrote that the UN will recommend at the next summit, which will be held in September 2024, the creation of a global governing body, a one-world government: \u201cTo avoid irreversible events, global cabal recommends that all of the mentioned- atmosphere (air), hydrosphere (water), biosphere (life), lithosphere (earth) and cryosphere (ice) \u2013 should be governed by one world governing body”.<\/p>\n

In fact, it is false to claim that \u201cAgenda 2030\u201d is being used by the UN to create a new world order and world government. We read in the program that every state has sovereignty, which it can exercise freely over all its wealth, natural resources, and economic activities. At the same time, the “Peace Summit”, which will be held in September, aims to promote multilateralism, not to create a single world government.<\/strong><\/p>\n

On September 25-27, 2015, in New York, The United Nations General Assembly adopted the \u201cUnited Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development\u201d (\u201cProgram 2030\u201d)<\/a>. According to the document, the following 17 goals should be achieved by 2030. These goals, which should be reached before 2030, address the global challenges we face today, including<\/a> poverty, decent jobs, quality education, climate action, peace and justice, and more. \u201cThe goals and targets are the result of the two years of intensive public consultation and engagement with civil society and other stakeholders around the world, which paid special attention to the voices of the poorest and most vulnerable, \u201cthe UN website says<\/a>. The program does not mention the formation of a single world government and governing body.<\/p>\n

It should be noted that \u201cAgenda<\/a> 2030\u201d is not a legally binding document, therefore, its implementation depends on the will of the UN member states.<\/p>\n

As for the 2024 UN \u201cSummit of the Future\u201d, which will be held on September 22-24, 2024, the main goals of the summit are the reaffirmation of the UN Charter; Revival of multilateralism (coordinated relationship of three or more states according<\/a> to certain principles); Facilitating the fulfillment of existing obligations; Agreement on the solution of new challenges and restoration<\/a> of trust. No information about the creation of a world government can be found on the summit’s website. Before and during the Summit, negotiations will be held on a Pact called “A Pact for the Future<\/a>“. The website contains documents submitted by the co-facilitators, including the latest version of the pact, in which we read (Action 41<\/a>) that without multilateralism, enhanced international cooperation, and unswerving adherence to the UN Charter and international law, all of humanity may be at risk: \u201cWe will transform the global governance and strengthen the multilateral system to create a world that is secure, peaceful, fair, equal, inclusive, sustainable and prosperous.\u201d It is mentioned on the website that by creating a multilateral system, the center of which will be the United Nations, they are trying not only to restore trust in global institutions but also to give all member states the opportunity to participate in the global decision-making<\/a> process.<\/p>\n

Thus, the claim that Agenda 2030 and the UN summit which will be held in September -will establish a global government is false.<\/p>\n
